The shipping industry is facing huge problems in recruiting personnel for their vessels. Continuously increasing tonnage, a large number of retirements and too low numbers of students in the naval schools are all factors contributing to the current situation.

Manning problems in shipping have been known for a long time. Still, it is hard to see what is done to solve them. Remigium aims to contribute with a part of the future solution for the manning problems; a community for both seamen and companies.
